Kelly Faus is a jazz trumpeter, composer, and educator in the Boulder, Colorado area. He received formal training in music and psychology at the University of Northern Colorado, and he performed with the University’s premier jazz ensembles as jazz and lead trumpet. Faus studied with composition professors at the collegiate level as well as many renowned trumpeters such as Greg Gisbert and Brad Goode. His experience with music composition and production spans over a decade including personal and commercial work, and he incorporated music technology into his professional career by utilizing a variety of hardware and software to support developmentally disabled adults during his tenure as a day program music instructor. Faus’ performance credits are extensive, and he shared the stage with Dr. Dog, Sean Bones Band, Jeremy Mohney Quartet, Kevin Matthews Jazz Orchestra, Bill Smith, Futaba, Guerrilla Fanfare, Flatirons Jazz Orchestra, and Mile High Mood Swings among others.
